The majority of residents of Clifton Park are employed outside the town with most working in the immediate vicinities of Albany, Schenectady, Troy or Saratoga. Most of those employed within the community are involved in either retailing or service industries. The residents of Clifton Park have the highest per capita income of any area town.

Clifton Park is located almost equal distance from Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs, all of which are rich in cultural activity and tradition. This well-located area offers its residents a high degree of cultural exposure to almost any activity taking place. There is easy access to Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the summer home of Philadelphia Symphony & New York Ballet.

Residents of Clifton Park dwell in a variety of single family and town house style units available in a wide variety of designs and prices. Residential areas have quick access to Route 87- The Adirondack Northway. The majority of the homes in Clifton Park are less than fifteen years of age and there is a significant assortment of new construction available. The Clifton Park area is one of the most popular residential areas, particularly for transferring families in the Capital District.
Two major daily paper serve Clifton Park. They are the Times Unionand the Daily Gazette. The Saratogian, an evening publication, printed in Saratoga Springs, also has a readership in this area. The Commercial News is a weekly publication highlighting local news.
Transportation
Commuter: This area's well developed interstate system makes most of the Capital District only minutes away.

Air: Albany International Airport, located in Colonie (10-15 minutes from Clifton Park), is served by many major and commuter airlines.
There are a large number of groups available to people of all interests. There are a high predominance of women's organizations and interest groups that are very active within the town. A new Senior Citizens complex at the Clifton Commons provides a central meeting place for our older residents. The Clifton Country Mall is a large regional facility with nearly one hundred stores. In addition, there are two smaller malls offering a variety of specialty shops. Access to Saratoga Springs, Colonie Shopping areas and Crossgates Mall are an equal distance from Clifton Park.

The geographic location enables residents access to virtually every recreational opportunity within the region. Clifton Park is an easy drive to the 6 million acre Adirondack State Park and all of the recreational pursuits which are enjoyed there. Some of the highlights are Lake George, Lake Placid, Saratoga Springs and a variety of mountains and lakes. The Clifton Commons boasts an indoor ice skating rink, basketball and tennis courts. During spring and summer, the baseball and soccer fields are active.
