Saratoga Springs is truly an area of growth and excitement. Saratoga, historically noted for its leisure activities is becoming an area with increasing housing opportunities. Saratoga's economy is probably the most diverse in the Capital District. The economy relies on a blend of revenue from both industry and recreational-oriented industry. The month of August, mainly stimulated by the Saratoga Horse Racing Track, is dominated with tourist activity. The tourist activity circles around Saratoga Performing Arts Center, which is the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York City Ballet. It is also host to a large number of special concert events. Saratoga County is located approximately 30 minutes from beautiful Lake George, a true source for four seasons of beautiful recreational opportunities.
